Adam Emfield

Principal User Experience Manager

Adam Emfield is the principal user experience manager at Nuance Automotive. He leads the Design & Research, Innovation, and In-Vehicle Experience (DRIVE) Lab, and is responsible for the usability program for Nuance’s Automotive division. Coming from a background in both cognitive psychology and industrial engineering, he and his cross-functional team work across the division to develop new ideas for in-vehicle experiences, as well as to validate existing concepts.

Boris Shulkin

Boris Shulkin was named Vice President for Magna International’s Corporate Engineering and Research & Development group in January 2014. In this role, Shulkin is responsible for technology incubation and product strategy, technical due diligence and intellectual property assessment of new technologies and high-tech startups.

Dushyant Wadivkar

Manager, Engineering


Dushyant Wadivkar leads the system-software engineering teams for automated driving at Robert Bosch, LLC with a goal to get automated driving on the road as quickly and safely as possible. In his current position, Dushyant leads teams that are developing core algorithms for perception, designing advanced concepts for SAE Level 3-4 automated driving functionalities and providing functional safety expertise for production projects.

Chris Hegarty

Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Sector Lead

Chris Hegarty currently leads Cray’s enterprise business development efforts within the AI, Deep Learning and Analytic solutions space. He works closely with Cray’s global sales, marketing and engineering teams to design and implement custom solutions for clients across a broad range of industry segments. Before joining Cray, Chris spent over 30 years in business development, sales and marketing leadership roles at IBM, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.

Dr. Sven Kratz

Senior Principal Engineer/Senior Manager, Future Experience Team

Dr. Sven Kratz currently works as a Senior Principal Engineer / Senior Manager with the Future Experience Team at Harman International in Silicon Valley. Sven is passionate about inventing new interactive technologies that improve the users’ experience and empowers them with new and exciting capabilities, with a keen interest in applying AI and machine learning to allow machines to understand human gestures, activities as well as the users’ mental and physical states. Sven’s work has resulted in multiple patents and publications at top venues in the field. Prior to joining Harman, Sven worked for FX Palo Alto Laboratory, Microsoft and Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs.

Dan Galves

Senior VP – Communications

Dan Galves joined Mobileye in 2016 with global responsibility for investor relations, media relations, and government affairs for the company. Mobileye was acquired by Intel Corp. in August 2017 in order to create one integrated technology deployment activity in the areas of Advanced Driver Assist Systems and Autonomous Vehicles.  Dan leads all external communications activity for this new combined organization.

During his 20 years in automotive data & insights, John has worked as a market analyst, U.S. sales and production forecaster, and as head of WardsAuto’s data and insights group. John has authored and co-authored several special reports on fuel economy and regularly speaks to automotive professionals on topics ranging from flexible manufacturing to global powertrain trends and U.S. OEM Green Strategies.

Dave has covered the global auto industry for more than 30 years, most of that time spent at WardsAuto, where over the past decade he has led the transition from print to its award-winning digital products. Dave has written about a wide range of topics during that time, including the emergence of the Chinese auto industry, the shift to global vehicle platforms and advances in automotive technology ranging from new electrical architectures to modern powertrains. He holds journalism and English degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit.
