Dave Zoia is the Director of Research at Wards with responsibility for overseeing Wards Intelligence reports. Dave has covered the global auto industry for more than 30 years, most of that time spent at Wards, where over the past decade he has led the transition from print to its award-winning digital products. Dave has written about a wide range of topics during that time, including the emergence of the Chinese auto industry, the shift to global vehicle platforms and advances in automotive technology ranging from new electrical architectures to modern powertrains. He holds Journalism and English degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Haig Stoddard

Haig Stoddard has followed the auto industry for nearly three decades, starting as a reporter for WardsAuto and transitioning to automotive market analyst. He has spent most of his career at WardsAuto, with stints along the way at Global Insight forecasting North American vehicle production, and as a vehicle sales analyst at General Motors and Dana Corp. Since returning to WardsAuto, he has served as the company’s lead in-house analyst overseeing several of the information provider’s data products and tools, including North American production and sales forecasts.

Erin Sunde started her career at Wards working with a wide variety of automotive industry data. She is currently an Industry Analyst, specializing in fuel economy regulations and strategies, along with the monthly vehicle sales forecast. Erin has authored and collaborated on reports covering fuel economy and vehicle technology. She leads consulting projects to provide customized data and insights to industry professionals. Erin graduated from the University of Michigan – Dearborn with a degree in Economics and Statistics.

Bob Gritzinger

Bob Gritzinger is a veteran automotive journalist with nearly two decades of experience evaluating thousands of new vehicles and investigating the latest propulsion systems and leading-edge automotive technologies. Gritzinger specializes in covering advancements in internal-combustion engines and electrified and fuel-cell vehicles. His most recent projects include researching and writing the Wards AWD report and Fuel-Cell Vehicles report, as well authoring articles on topics such as small-displacement turbo engines, vehicle lightweighting, user experience and more. Prior to joining Wards, he was a longtime editor (news, managing editor, executive editor) at the enthusiast publication AutoWeek and was an online contributor to a variety of outlets including Forbes, AutoWeb and BeCarChic. Before embarking on a career in journalism, Gritzinger was a trained auto mechanic and still enjoys working on vehicles in his spare time. Gritzinger holds a B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University.
